2008 Premier’s Chinese Community Service Awards presented at Government House

The Premier’s Chinese Community Service Awards are organised by the Community Relations Commission on behalf of the Government and acknowledge the voluntary contribution made by individual members of the Chinese community in NSW to their own and the broader community.

Speaking before announcement of the winners for 2008, the Premier and Minister for Citizenship, Morris Iemma, said : “ The awards, now in their fourth year, will continue to acknowledge the many hard-working and dedicated individuals who have made selfless contributions to the Australian community.

“I hope these awards,” he said, “will inspire the next generation of Chinese Australians to carry on the great traditions of services established by those who gone before them.”
