AFL
The AFL recognises that Australian Football has the capacity to bring people together from diverse cultural backgrounds. With this in mind, the AFL is working closely with culturally diverse communities to identify barriers and develop strategies to encourage involvement in the game. A range of resources and programs have been developed to help local leagues and clubs located within diverse communities to take action to ensure that their activities are welcoming and inclusive.
The AFL’s Multicultural Program has dedicated staff from diverse cultural backgrounds working directly with communities, community organisations and government to facilitate and encourage involvement in the sport, as either a participant, fan, supporter or volunteer.
Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS)
The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is Australia’s national statistical agency. They assist and encourage informed decision-making, research and discussion within governments and the community, by leading a high-quality, objective and responsive national statistical service.
They are the agency responsible for producing economic indicators such as the consumer price index, national accounts, labour force, retail trade and housing finance figures. They also undertake an extensive range of social, agricultural and environmental surveys as well as the national population Census. The next population Census will be held on 9 August 2011, with information becoming available from mid 2012.
The ABS website provides over a million pages of freely available information, making it the primary access point for Australian statistics.
Australian Taxation Office
The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) is the Government’s principal revenue collection agency. The ATO has responsibility for administering the federal tax and superannuation systems as well as supporting the delivery of community benefits. A dedicated Access and Diversity Unit works with communities to improve information and services for people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. For example, annual consultations with over 200 community leaders in Melbourne and Sydney resulted in the production of an innovative and engaging DVD 'Tax in Australia' which provides an introduction to tax and super in 15 languages for new arrivals.

The Australian Council for the Promotion of the Peaceful Reunification of China
The Australian Council for the Promotion of the Peaceful Reunification of China is a non-profit organisation formed in July 2000 at the instigation of concerned Australian community organisations and individuals.
