2009 National Multicultural Marketing Awards
Commercial Award
There are two awards in this category, the Big Business Award and the Small Business Award.
Commercial Big Business Award
This category is open to organisations with more than 100 employees. It is for anyone in business in Australia and includes any form of commercial activity including buying, selling, training, organising or consulting that relates to a culturally diverse market.
Commonwealth Bank Commercial Small Business Award
This category is open to organisations with 100 and less employees. It is for anyone in business in Australia and includes any form of commercial activity such as buying, selling, training, organising or consulting that relates to a culturally diverse market.
CMC Markets Government Award
This category is open to any government department or agency in Australia . All public service managers have a responsibility to market their services. Marketing in this sense can mean informing and educating people about their rights, developing and adapting services to meet the needs of a culturally diverse society, as well as promoting a services responsibilities towards its users.
AFL Community Award
This category is for any community or cultural organisation in Australia . Organisations must demonstrate the ability to market themselves, whether it is through a fundraising program, a community welfare project, a community festival or a campaign that makes a difference to the betterment of the community. The program must be clearly targeted, with specific objectives and measurable achievements. Creativity and cultural sensitivity should be key elements in a successful submission.
Advertising Award
This category is open to any public relations or advertising agency in Australia that has developed a mass media campaign which recognises the value of the cultural diversity of Australia in its message and imagery.
Information Technology Award
This category is open to anyone in business in Australia who has developed online information on their products and services that are accessible in relevant community languages. This category is also open to companies that practise business online in a multilingual environment, multilingual web publishing services and interactive websites.
Export Award
This category is for any company, organisation or public sector organisation that has targeted an export market with an existing or new product or service and has used the cultural or linguistic skills, geographic knowledge or personal contacts of its staff to develop the product and market it. The entrant must outline the associated strategy to successfully enter and develop an overseas market.
Grand Award
A grand award will be presented to the most outstanding entry amongst the category award winners. This award recognizes overall outstanding achievement in marketing in all categories. Winner of the grand award must demonstrate the level of success in marketing their product or service. Nomination should include supporting documentation or medium showing successful multicultural marketing strategies, customer feedback and effective designs and communication tools.
