2010 Youth Harmony Festival
The 2010 Youth Harmony Festival was held on Sunday 14 March 2010 at Tumbalong Park Darling Harbour.

Young dancers from backgrounds as diverse as Serbian, Sierra Leone, Uruguay, Punjab and Egypt joined hip-hop and rap artists, gospel singers, lion dancers and street clowns, as part of the festival fun at Darling Harbour on Sunday 14th March, for the 3rd Youth Harmony Festival, organised by the Community Relations Commission of NSW.
The Festival was officially opened by the Attorney General of NSW and Minister for Citizenship, the Hon John Hatzistergos.
The Chair of the Commission, Stepan Kerkyasharian, thanked all those who participated: “We are grateful for the lively presentation by all the young performers who contributed to the diversity of performances at this wonderful event.
“This was a day of interaction to help forge a future of harmony and coexistence for New South Wales.
“Not only did we see entertainment performances on stage from talented young Australians of many backgrounds, we also watched as young Muslim men confidently carried out their religious duty by praying together in Tumbalong Park, in the centre of the city of Sydney.
“We want young Australians to know about each other and not to live with ignorance or prejudice based on religious difference.
“And, that was the point of the festival and that was its success in a peaceful day of enjoyment, entertainment and understanding where young people of Muslim, Sikh, Christian and other faiths spent a day together in peace and harmony, as Australians."
The CRC is grateful for the ongoing financial support of the Department of Immigration and Citizenship and the NSW Government.
