Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Australia, Abdul Malik Abdullah, has paid a formal visit to the Community Relations Commission of NSW, accompanied by the Consul General of Pakistan in Sydney, Azam Mohammed.
They were received by the Chair of the Commission, Stepan Kerkyasharian.
Discussions centred on the progress of settlement issues faced by members of the Pakistani community in New South Wales as well as obstacles to the further development of the Australian tertiary education market in Pakistan.
The High Commission assured Mr Kerkyasharian that Pakistani students living in Australia did not experience security issues and were very satisfied with the education they were receiving.
It was noted that while a number of students would remain in Australia on completion of their studies those who returned home would become great ambassadors for Australia.
