Ethnic media meet with Premier and Minister for citizenship

The new Premier Kristina Keneally addressed the gathering and met many of the media people present. The Premier promised to meet regularly with the ethnic media and to take a great interest in community affairs. She acknowledged the challenges faced by newcomers to Australia and admitted that, as a migrant from the United States, she too faced difficulties coming to terms with a new society. The Deputy Premier, Carmel Tebbutt also attended the gathering.
