Important Dates
March
The Annual Community Relations Report is presented to the Minister by the Community Relations Commission before the end of March of each year.
April - May
The Annual Community Relations Report is tabled in Parliament by the Minister.
May - June
Agencies review their multicultural policies and services plan. Agencies are required to include a statement summarising multicultural policy and services implementation in their Annual Report each year (except small agencies defined as those under 200 full-time staff that report on multicultural activities triennially).
Key agencies are asked to liaise with the Community Relations Commission in the development of their multicultural policies and services plan.
August - September
Key agencies review/finalise their multicultural policies and services plan (except those with a calendar year reporting cycle).
Agencies are required to include information on their multicultural policy and services implementation in their annual report. Agencies with less than 200 full-time staff are required to report on their multicultural policy and service's implementation on a triennial basis.
End of September
Key agencies are required to submit a multicultural policies and services plan and retrospective report to the Community Relations Commission (logon to Multicultural e-Advice NSW for information on your agency's reporting requirements).
December
All agencies send the cover and an extract of their most recent annual report relating to multicultural policy and services implementation through Multicultural e-Advice NSW to the Community Relations Commission, as soon as it is tabled in Parliament. Agencies are requested to advise the Community Relations Commission via Multicultural e-Advice NSW if the tabling of their report is delayed.
December - January
The Community Relations Commission prepares a draft Community Relations Report.
January - February
The Community Relations Commission provides sections of the draft Community Relations Report to selected agencies for comment.
