Key Agencies

Up to 20 agencies are designated as 'key' by the Community Relations Commission for the purposes of the Multicultural Policies and Services Program.

The designation of a 'key agency' is based on its functions and the importance of its programs in servicing the culturally diverse society of New South Wales and in carrying forward the multicultural objectives of the State.

Key agencies in 2009 are:

  • NSW Sport and Recreation - Communities NSW
  • Education and Training - Department of Education and Training
  • TAFE Commission - Department of Education and Training
  • NSW Health, Area Health Services, Ambulance, Cancer Institute - Department of Health
  • Health Care Complaints Commission - Department of Health
  • Ageing, Disability and Home Care - Department of Human Services
  • Community Services - Department of Human Services
  • Housing NSW - Department of Human Services
  • Juvenile Justice - Department of Human Services
  • State & Regional Development and Tourism Division - Department of Industry and Investment
  • Attorney-Generals - Department of Justice and Attorney General
  • Legal Aid Commission - Department of Justice and Attorney General
  • Corrective Services NSW - Department of Justice and Attorney General
  • NSW Police Force - Department of Police and Emergency Services NSW
  • Division of Local Government - Department of Premier and Cabinet
  • NSW Ombudsman  - Department of Premier and Cabinet
  • Department of Services, Technology and Administration (previously Commerce)
  • WorkCover Authority - NSW Treasury
  • Roads and Traffic Authority - Department of Transport and Infrastructure
